NO KIDS + 4 days/3 nights = The Big Easy Adventure

Well I know I've mentioned before that me and Brandon really like to travel, however I'm not so sure what we were thinking when we did this one.
I like to talk about being "random" well I think this one will pretty much top most anything I've ever done in my life.....

Here's the story: About a week ago Brandon had this "feeling" to look on a government auction website, one which we used to frequent often always hoping and looking for the next good deal. On what, well there's the random part... Cars, trucks, boats, campers, ATVs... Hell even yard equipment. We once thought about buying an old used play ground set that a city was disposing of, it looked nice and close to what the City here has at the park... But then again where would we put that?
Anyway so that feeling.... turned out to be well interesting. To our surprise there were campers on the site this time and a lot of them. The starting bid was $1,000 and the reserve was set really low. As we watched people bid, we decided to book the trailer and then of course figure out the funds in preparation of buying one. We decided to hold off on bidding until later.
So we lined out some funds and the day came. The auction was crazy! The last 5 minutes is when people really started to bid. Along with everyone else Brandon was putting in bids with me on the phone watching the computer in-nticipation.
So.... We bid on one and almost immediately had another person bid on it too... So thinking we were out bid on it we decided to bid on another.. Well apparently the first tralier we bid on the other bidder didn't out bid Brandon's max bid so with about 30 seconds left on the first trailer and 2 and a half minutes left on the other tralier, we were now bidding on two trailers and winning them both... We were freaking out! Two trailers!!! What in the mailto:%5E&$#^&$@#$#@%!!!!
I was sure we were hosed to say the least.. So the time passed and we won the very first trailer we bid on... It was seriously seconds left before we would own two and right before the time was up someone out bid us! Thank you to the bidder and you know who!
Now Funding! Yikes! We had it lined out through my Grandma, but we didn't anticipate so much. So we decided we better just go through the bank.
Now for the kicker.... We have to drive to Baton Rouge Louisiana to get this trailer. Now someone please tell me what we were thinking!! Its all been such an interesting come-about for this and who knows in the long run if we even get to keep the trailer. I guess it will depend upon my job?
So Baton Rouge here we come! My mommy after a very long deliberation decided to keep our kids, so were leaving Saturday morning around 8am (only because she refused to take them any earlier) and we need to be back Tuesday before the kids get out of day care... I'm concerned on many levels. Like will we need tires for this thing, will everything in it work? HM what the hell? I really do enjoy randomness but I think this takes the cake!
Baton Rouge is seriously about 1,400 miles away from here!
Um weather? I just hope we don't get into any tornado's or hurricane effects on this trip!

Here's a layout of the camper we bought. It's a 29' Jayco jayflight 2006 bunkhouse model
I think it will be nice for our first trailer!

Here's some pictures of me and Brandon on a trip we took to Oregon one year. We drove all the way from St. George to Portland Oregon in a day and we were so tired among other things that we started taking pictures of us screaming in the car to entertain ourselves.....
I hope we survive!
