Rather odd things have been said to me lately one of which involved an old college roommate asking me if I ever received her text about her getting married. The answer was simple, "No". When she had a very confused look upon her face my response was that I have texting blocked on my phone. Now one may wonder why this may be when we live in a world that just can't function with out "twitting" or "texting" how can it be that I don't have this feature added to my phone? The answer, why? Why should I? I don't need to know when every person hits my blog, or when I get a new friend request on Facebook. Quit simply put, I don't give a flying poop if I do or don't know. Now that being said, anyone who has my number stop wasting your precious texting on me or my husband for that fact, again we won't get it. Sorry folks I guess you'll have to actually take the time to pick up the phone and call if you want us to know something or reply for that fact, cause other wise we just won't get it. Besides that, the fact was that before texting got "big" verizon used to ripe us off because they would send us "up-dates" via text message and it would add about 5 bucks to our bill every month, talk about not being honest so we blocked it. Maybe one day I'll rethink this one, but more than likely not for a very very very long time....
So speaking of oddities that old college roommate. We hadn't seen each other in roughly about 4 years or so when oddly enough she's down here in good ol Monticello. Well not really in town more of stuck down in Canyonlands. So the story is that my family was up camping in a spot near the base of the Mountain about 9 miles south of Monticello. The cell phone service is horrible there so Saturday morning Brandon's phone rings and its my other old college roommate Ali who just so happens to be from Monticello calling us. I tell Brandon he better go down the Mountain a little to call Ali back and find out why she called. As it turns out Brittini and her husband Sulu blew two tires and they were stuck down at Beef Basin by Canyonlands. Ha ha, so very funny, or just rotten luck for the two. So off we went on a mission to go get them and their tire to get it fixed. Long story short. We rescued them from a horribly overpriced towing bill. Oh and they decided to come up and camp by us on the Mountain so that made it a little more fun. Overall I didn't actually get to camp much this weekend. I forgot to take any pictures (yes the whole time). I witnessed some what of sheer stupidity (I'd tell that story, but I'd offend town's people). Oh and I got to see a friend and catch up on old times of which I really hope they come back soon and have another adventure with us, it was really the highlight to the odd weekend. So all in all I still believe texting is overrated. Oh yeah and I'd never pay for TV if you can get it for free. Those our my tips for Tuesday, you can take it or leave it. I don't care!
