Portland Zoo

Fun times at the Portland Zoo. So I finally convinced Brandon that we needed to do something other than to go fishing on a weekend. I mentioned the Zoo and I swear he looked at every other activity you could do on the internet before finally (kind of) deciding to go to the zoo. We started out driving in the general direction, but until we arrived I'm still not sure he was convenience it was a good idea. Need less to say of course it was raining and unlike other States I've lived in rain is no big deal, people we packing themselves and their kids into the zoo. It was a grand ol' time and the kids really liked it to. At the end of the visit we decided to catch a train into downtown Portland and ended up eating at a place called the Bridge Cafe, which is exactly the same thing as Paradise Bakery in Utah. Same cookies and all, so yummy! Anyway it was really fun. Found out that if you buy a season pass it was tax deductible so of course Brandon jumped on that one. We figure it is a good activity around here and only an hour drive. After living in Southern Utah I drove an hour just to get groceries so its kind of nice that now I do it for entertainment rather than a need.

Anywho, I think I really need to invest in an umbrella because I don't actually own one amazingly enough and I live in the Pacific Northwest which honestly it rains here almost every single day. Maybe eventually I'll get around to getting one. Until then guess I'll just keep getting caught in the rain!

Enjoy some of our photos!
