Mud, Moab, Monticello, & Cortez? We've done it all....

Me and Austin at the Sand Hill in Moab on Saturday...
This is Gavin pointing and saying "airplane" every time a big truck drove by he thought an airplaine was flying above us... It was really cute!

So I haven't posted for a while... Maybe that's because I have been pretending to be young again... I've been so busy doing things that I haven't even checked my emails. It would have almost made me sad, but I don't think I missed anything...

Anyway do you ever just wake up after a busy week and think dang I'm really tired? Well I never thought this day would come because I'm always trying to make myself feel like I'm not growing up. However today I woke up and I am genuinely tired. I'm so exhausted I feel like my head is spinning! It's almost to freak me out. Then I think of the week I had and then I remember the weekend...

Like last night, you know when that snow storm was headed our way. Well we were over talking to the Saunders and out of no where we all decided that fajitas over at Tequilas sounded good so at 8 pm we jumped in the truck and took off for Cortez. Me and Mindy got to sit Indian in the back, it was fun we had a futon bed in their, a bunch of sleeping bags, pillows and of course a movie to watch... After our late dinner we had to hit WalMart... Seriously Austin didn't fall asleep until midnight on the ride home... I think because of the snow it took like an hour and a half to get back... This morning he woke up at his regular time 7:30 and I just barely laid him down for a nap! I pray he stays down a few hours... He's been so grumpy. I don't blame him though...

On Saturday we spent all day in Moab.. The sand hill was Austin's party box and he did not want to leave it.... Gavin loved it too. They both tried climbing up the hill so many times it was fun to watch them. After that we headed down towards Hooray Pass to show the Saunders the view and of course to play around in the four wheel drive vehicles... It was a party that ended at the Moab Diner.

So Although the Landcrusier is now definitely showing some signs of repair, that thing just keeps going....

Then the mud... Where isn't there mud around Monticello this time of year? You know the TV tower road you can almost make it up to the pipeline trail that goes across. And if your feeling like fishing you can actually make it up to Monticello and Foy Lakes already. If you don't have a good light weight vehicle the road out by the airport is open and so is the one down by Canyonlands. I was amazed at how much the snow is already melted. I realize this is both good and bad, but right now it only feels good to me...

So anyway I realize I seriously have only told half the tale, but I really do think I should nap today well I can.

I think you are crazy to be THAT spontaneous. But sounds like fun. It's always fun to pack up and leave like that (for me, without the kids)

I decided that life was passing me by as I was waiting for someone else to take my kids... So why not? Of course the next day you pay for it, but its still so much fun...
