Lake Powell Trip #1

We finally took our boat out to the lake and man it was soooo much fun! My mom and dad agreed to keep the boys, which of course made it all the more fun (at least for us). Lake Powell was beautiful this time of year and we were surprised that there really weren't a ton of boats out. The marina was just about empty and on Friday we sat up Moki for hours and only sawl 10 boats. It was so nice to just relax, fish, and enjoy each other company. It really made me think about the future when the kids are all grown and gone, just how much fun its going to be with just the two of us again.

Our camping spot... We chose to stay in the camp ground just in case our boat still leaked. And guess what... Good thing, because the boat still leaks water!

Another pretty picture

Self portrait of fishing on the boat....

Its funny and amazing that we didn't sink the boat while we sat and "fished" I put that in quotes because we had this fishing rode holders on the boat, so really we took naps while our lines sat in the water. The only fish we caught we were actually out of the boat swimming and when we got back in Brandon noticed my pole bouncing, I still wonder how long Mr. Fishy was on my pole before we noticed? Anyway it was way fun and we can't wait to do it again. That's why I named this post #1 trip because we are going back again on Thursday, only this time were taking the boys! This should get interesting!
